We don’t often come across news reports pertaining to fines and challans of the cars of top personalities
In a rather interesting turn of events, the Rolls Royce cars, previously belong to Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, received fines worth Rs 38 lakh. The news reports have been going viral on the internet. We know that Bollywood celebrities love to splurge on ostentatious automobiles worth crores. In fact, they have multiple cars in their garages. Also, they keep replacing their cars from time to time. Hence, many businessmen or other wealthy individuals love to purchase cars from big actors.
Rolls Royce Cars of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan Fined Rs 38 Lakh
As per this report by NDTV, a certain KGF Babu from Bengaluru purchased the Rolls Royce car from Amitabh Bachchan in 2021 and from Aamir Khan in 2023. While these vehicles carried the registration plates of Maharashtra, the new owner had been driving it in Bengaluru for years now. However, he allegedly didn’t pay the road tax, which got accumulated over the last few years. Finally, warrant was announced to collect road tax in Bengaluru of Rs 18 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, respectively.
What is quite surprising is the fact that KGF Babu didn’t transfer the cars to his name. That is why we still see the actors’ names attached to this story. Hence, we must clear the air by reiterating that the fines have been incurred by the new owner of these luxury vehicles and not the actors. In any case, after the authorities reached his home, he wrote two checks, covering the entire amount. Therefore, the case is finally resolved. Still, it made a huge splash on the internet as people wrote all sorts of funny comments.
My View
It is not uncommon for eminent celebrities to sell their vehicles to wealthy businessmen or other prominent individuals. In fact, that is how they keep their car garages fresh with the latest cars. Most of the time, their cars are in top condition and have been driven less. This gives a great opportunity for car enthusiasts to get their hands on a relatively new used car. On top of that, they often boast about the fact that the car was once owned by a top actor.
