VIDA sets new sales record with 11,226 units in July 2025, doubling its EV market share to 10.2% YoY, driven by strong demand for the new VX2 scooter.
VIDA, the electric mobility arm of Hero MotoCorp, posted its highest monthly sales in July 2025. The company dispatched 11,226 units during the month. It also recorded 10,489 VAHAN registrations. This marks VIDAโs best-ever monthly performance. The companyโs electric two-wheeler market share, as per VAHAN data, has now reached 10.2%. This is double its share from the same period last year.
Strong Demand for the Newly Launched VIDA VX2
The growth comes shortly after the launch of the VIDA VX2 electric scooter.The VX2 has seen strong demand. It combines standard scooter usability with electric technology. VIDA also offers the VX2 under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. This allows customers to subscribe to battery use instead of buying it outright.
The company says the BaaS model has played a key role in accelerating adoption. It lowers the entry cost of owning an EV and supports flexible usage. VIDAโs latest milestone reflects growing customer confidence in Hero MotoCorpโs electric offerings. Hero MotoCorp has not disclosed individual sales figures for different models. However, it attributed the bulk of July’s sales success to the performance of the VIDA VX2.

Sales Success Reflects Deeper EV Penetration in Urban Market
