Kid Hits Head on Iron Barrier While Standing Out of Sunroof of Car

Sunroofs are not meant to be used while a vehicle is in motion for safety reasons, which most people forget

In a rather shocking occurrence, a kid standing out of the sunroof of a Mahindra XUV3XO ended up hitting his head against an iron barrier on the road. India is home to some of the most challenging road and traffic conditions in the world. Unexpected things can occur at any time. As a consequence, one must be extra-vigilant at all times to avoid danger. However, sometimes, things go south quickly, as seen in this latest video clip. Let us glance at the specifics of this case here.

Bengaluru Kid Hits Iron Barrier While Hanging Out of Car’s Sunroof

The internet is full of visuals of this accident. As we can see, the kid is standing out of the sunroof of the Mahindra XUV3XO. We see the car being driven on a road which is located within a local region. Hence, there is a metallic barrier positioned in the middle of the road. This is done to prevent the movement of heavy vehicles. Now, we witness the kid standing out of the sunroof of the car. Somehow, he didn’t see the barrier or perhaps didn’t think that it would hit his head. As a result, the impact of the collision pushed him back inside the car.

Unfortunately, the details about the severity of this incident are not known. We can only hope that he didn’t sustain serious injuries. I am sure his family members must’ve taken him to the hospital. In any case, this is a perfect instance to showcase what could go wrong in a matter of seconds when people are careless. The comments section of this post is flooded with the anguish and frustration of people. They are questioning the parents for allowing such a thing to happen. Furthermore, they are reiterating the need for car owners to use the sunroof wisely.

My View

We have seen numerous occasions where people hang out of the sunroofs of their cars while driving on public roads. That is wrong on multiple counts. Apart from the fact that they could get injured themselves (as seen in this case), they can pose visibility issues for the drivers behind them. Hence, the overall safety of road users is often compromised. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers and car owners, so that undesirable road accidents can be avoided.
