Rising cricketing sensation Tilak Varma ended up purchasing a new Mahindra XEV 9e for his father. Namboori Thakur Tilak Varma is a left-handed batsman and a part-time off-spinner. He played his first T20 match for India against the West Indies in August 2023. In the domestic circuit, he plays for Hyderabad, while in the IPL, he is a part of the Mumbai Indians. Powering the Mahindra XEV 9e are two battery pack options – 79 kWh and 59 kWh. The claimed range on a single charge is 656 km and 542 km, respectively. The battery powers a potent electric motor for a power and torque figure of 286 hp and 380 Nm, with the larger battery to 231 hp and 380 Nm with the smaller unit, respectively. With a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in a mere 20 minutes. In the most powerful settings, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in just 6.8 seconds. The prices range from Rs 23.01 lakh to Rs 34.03 lakh, ex-showroom.
