The update, this time around, is quite comprehensive, which lends the 18-year-old model a fresh lease of life
The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been upgraded quite comprehensively to keep it fresh. We know that the Pulsar moniker has become a household name in India. There are models in just about every major segment. First launched in 2007, the Pulsar 220F has remained in demand courtesy of frequent updates from Bajaj. Despite rising competition in this space, the Pulsar 220 has been able to hold its own. For now, let us delve into the details of the latest model.
2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F Walkaround
This walkaround video encapsulates all the new elements of the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F. Let us kick things off with the front section, where the bike gets a new mud guard with a carbon fibre texture and graphics around the headlamp cluster. These same body graphics are seen on the fuel tank, too. Another key addition to the bike is a new belly pan. However, I feel the most important update has to be the new fully digital instrument cluster, which has been updated from the part-digital unit in the previous model. Finally, you can charge your smartphone using the USB power sockets. The E20-compliant sticker on the fuel filler lid confirms that it is made for the current times.
Talking about the powertrain options, it continues to get the familiar 220-cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, oil-cooled, twin-spark DTS-i engine with fuel injection technology. It is good for a decent 20.4 PS @8,500 RPM and 18.55 Nm @7,000 RPM of maximum power and torque, respectively. Taking care of the transmission duties is a 5-speed manual constant-mesh gearbox. At the front, it gets a telescopic fork, while the rear uses the 5-way adjustable Nitrox suspension with a twin shock absorber. The ground clearance is 165 mm and the wheelbase is 1,350 mm. Finally, the motorcycle weighs around 160 kg. It retails for Rs 1.27 lakh, ex-showroom, making it quite attractive for the masses.

Having followed the Pulsar legacy since its inception, I can confidently say that Bajaj has done well to keep the 220F relevant even after nearly two decades. The 2025 update strikes a fine balance between nostalgia and modernity, especially with the digital console and E20 compliance. While its core mechanicals remain unchanged, these thoughtful upgrades ensure the 220F continues to appeal to enthusiasts who value performance, affordability, and the unmistakable Pulsar DNA.
