Nissan announced its ambitious plans for our market with 3 new cars planned within the next 12 months
The new 7-seat Nissan Gravite MPV has been virtually conceptualized by a prominent digital automobile artist. In a recent media interaction, the Japanese carmaker confirmed that it will launch 3 new cars in India in the coming months – 7-seat Gravite B-MPV, Tekton mid-size SUV and a new 7-seat C-SUV. Clearly, the brand is focusing on key areas of growth. We know that India customers have been purchasing SUVs aggressively in the last few years. Hence, Nissan aims to leverage that interest and introduce new products to grab more market share quickly. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest concept.
Nissan Gravite 7-seat MPV Digitally Rendered
This post stems from malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. During the live media online event, Nissan officials released a glimpse of what the upcoming Gravite will look like. The visuals capture a few details of the front fascia, the side profile and the rear section. Based on these, the artist has come up with a production-ready version. At the front, it gets a sleek LED strip, which runs the width of the face and culminates in LED DRLs. Other bits include sleek projector headlamps, a massive skid plate section which wraps around the bumper and a contoured bonnet.
On the sides, the dual-tone alloy wheels look modern and stylish, the black side pillars, roof rails and overall silhouette remind us of the Renault Triber, to some extent. The wheel arches are rounded and are finished in black cladding. In all honesty, the artist has also taken inspiration from the existing Renault Triber. Nevertheless, I believe the Nissan Gravite will be quite different from the Triber, simply judging by what was shown at the event. In any case, we will get to know the full details in January 2026.
My View
Nissan has been trailing on sales charts over the last few years because of a limited product range. But this is set to change soon with three new cars arriving in quick succession. With competition growing across every segment, it is crucial to offer strong products to gain market share. That is precisely what Nissan intends to do going ahead. In the coming months, we will learn more, not only about the upcoming models but also about how the brand plans to move forward. These steps could finally help the company rebuild relevance and confidence among buyers nationwide.
