This video clip stems from automobiliardent on Instagram. The visuals capture the white convertible luxury saloon plying on the road. This special edition model gets bespoke Maybach styling elements, including painted hood options, a chrome grille and 21-inch 36-spoke forged alloys. On the inside, the Nappa leather upholstery, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch adjustable infotainment system accentuate the premium quotient and the drop-top adds that flair of a hallmark two-door opulent sports car. As per various reports online, the second model bears the red paint scheme.
The Mercedes Maybach SL680 is not just aesthetically a rare vehicle, but also bears a potent powertrain under its skin. There is a colossal 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, which generates a mammoth 577 hp and 800 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Performing transmission duties is a 9-speed automatic transmission which powers all four wheels for an exhilarating performance. This configuration enables a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.1 seconds, while the top speed is marked at a jaw-dropping 260 km/h. In India, the prices start at Rs 4.20 Crore, ex-showroom.

When a family that already owns one of India’s most eclectic and guarded car collections picks up two units of a model limited to just three for the country, it’s not merely a purchase, it’s a statement. The Maybach SL680 sits at the intersection of ultra-luxury and performance, a space still niche even in India’s evolving super-luxury market. This also underlines how India, at the very top end, is no longer just an allocation market but a priority one for bespoke, low-volume global icons. For brands like Mercedes-Maybach, such buyers quietly justify bringing their rarest toys to our shores.
