New Suzuki Access with ABS Launched in India

The new scooter remains mechanically similar to the previous model

The new Suzuki Access has been launched in India with a single-channel ABS. Note that the Access moniker is extremely popular in our market. In fact, it is a household name among those who want an affordable and practical two-wheeler for daily usage. Remember that the new-gen Suzuki Access 125 arrived in our market last year. For now, let us check out the kind of amenities the new model offers.

New Suzuki Access with ABS Launched

The new Suzuki Access is available in two avatars – Ride Connect ABS Edition and Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition. The prices are Rs 92,328 and Rs 98,378, respectively. Furthermore, the former is on sale in 5 colour options – Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Shiny Beige. Similarly, even the TFT ABS Edition comes in 5 shades – Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Mat Aqua Silver. The ABS technology ensures no wheel lock during hard braking, enhancing the overall safety of the riders.

In terms of the specifications, the Suzuki Access remains identical to the older model. This means that it continues to draw power from a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which generates a healthy 8.4 hp and 10.2 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The ABS trims carry a premium of Rs 3,601 and Rs 4,501 over their respective non-ABS variants. This makes the Access 125 one of the few motorcycles in this space to get ABS.

Commenting on this launch, Mr. Kenichi Umeda – Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Early this January, we marked an important milestone with the launch of Suzuki’s first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, reinforcing our commitment to future-ready mobility. Today, we are happy to further strengthen our portfolio with the introduction of the Suzuki Access equipped with ABS. With the addition of this ABS variant, we are expanding the range of choices within the Access family, enabling customers to select a variant that best aligns with their riding preferences. We remain committed to introducing new and relevant products that meet evolving customer expectations.”

Editor’s Note

Yatharth Chauhan, Managing Editor

From my standpoint, the addition of ABS to the Suzuki Access is a quiet but very meaningful upgrade for India’s most trusted family scooter. Suzuki clearly understands that safety expectations are rising even in the mass commuter segment, and ABS is no longer seen as a premium indulgence. The modest price premium makes this a sensible, future-proof choice rather than a token update. In a market where Access buyers value reliability and peace of mind above all else, this move further strengthens the scooter’s long-standing dominance.
