2 TVS iQube Electric Scooters Delivered to Vatican City State

The Indian two-wheeler giant is achieving some monumental milestones in its global operations, while incorporating electrification

The Governorate of Vatican City State just received two TVS iQube electric scooters. We know that iQube is an important model for the Indian two-wheeler giant in its electric portfolio. It has done reasonably well on the sales charts in India. With time, TVS is expanding its footprint in some international markets with this product. While Nepal and Indonesia were already on this list, the latest announcement confirms its availability in Vatican City going forward. Let us take a look at the details here.

TVS Motor Company has supplied two TVS iQube electric scooters to the Governorate of Vatican City State. The delivery took place on February 5 and is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Vatican and Exelentia, a company involved in innovation and sustainability projects. This move supports the Vatican’s efforts to adopt zero-emission mobility solutions for its daily operations. The Vatican has been working toward reducing its environmental impact, and electric vehicles are a part of that plan.

The scooters are expected to be used for short-distance travel within the city state, where efficiency, low noise and minimal emissions are important. The initiative was carried out by Exelentia in partnership with TVS Motor Italia. According to company representatives, the focus is on providing reliable and practical mobility solutions suitable for sensitive and historic environments like the Vatican. The TVS iQube is an electric scooter designed for urban commuting. It offers a claimed range of up to 100 km in Eco mode.

The scooter comes with connected features through TVS’s SmartXonnect system, which can be accessed via a TFT display and a mobile app. Key features include riding comfort, ease of use and quiet operation. Since it is fully electric, it produces no tailpipe emissions and operates with very low noise. TVS Motor Company, based in India, operates in more than 90 countries and manufactures two- and three-wheelers for global markets. Exelentia focuses on last-mile mobility solutions and works on projects aimed at sustainable urban transport. The deployment of the iQube in Vatican City reflects the broader shift toward electric mobility in institutional and urban environments where sustainability is becoming a priority.

Editor’s Note

Yatharth Chauhan, Managing Editor

Having tracked TVS Motor’s journey closely over the years, I see this development as more than just a symbolic export milestone. The iQube has steadily strengthened its position in India’s competitive electric two-wheeler space, and its acceptance in a sensitive, high-profile environment like Vatican City speaks volumes about its maturity as a product. For an Indian EV to find relevance beyond price-driven domestic demand reflects how our manufacturers are beginning to compete on credibility, reliability and global standards. This is the kind of gradual, strategic international expansion that builds long-term brand equity.
