Force Motors Limited launched the New Urbania Deluxe today. Urbania is already a premium offering from Force Motors; Deluxe will be focused more on comfort, performance, and technology. Urbania Deluxe will replace the current Urbania model. Force Motors is well-known for its commercial vehicles throughout the country. With the rise in tourism in India, their vans are gaining popularity, and Urbania is certainly among them. Recently, we have also observed people converting their Tempo Traveller and Urbania vehicles into caravans. Force Motors caters great travel solutions for cooperative travel and tourist travel.
Mercedes-Derived Powerhouse
The Deluxe gets the Mercedes-derived 2.6-liter, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 100 kW (134 HP) and 350 Nm of torque, slightly improved over the outgoing model.
Interior/Cabin
Inside the cabin now it gets leatherette seats, matching upholstery, and wood-finish flooring. A TFT instrument cluster shows real-time vehicle data, while a 23 cm (9-inch) HD touchscreen handles infotainment, offering smartphone connectivity, online and offline navigation, a reverse camera, voice alerts, and hands-free calling. It also gets new 16-inch alloy wheels, a power-operated sliding footstep, an 8-speaker digital theater system, and illuminated USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports across all rows.
Safety Features
It now gets a 3-point seatbelt, alongside driver and co-driver airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Program, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Engine Drag Torque Control. In terms of maintenance and peace of mind, Deluxe gets a Force Care package, which includes Pulse telematics, a five-year or 5 lakh km warranty, a three-year sensor warranty, and three years of roadside assistance.
Prices/variants
The new Deluxe will be available in three wheelbases and eight seating layouts, ranging from 9+D to 16+D seating configurations. The prices start at 28.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Force Motors
Force Motors was founded in 1958 by NK Firodia. Force Motors runs five plants in India, employs over 10,000 people, and is currently led by Abhay Firodia. Its Pune R&D centre has a design team of over 1,000. The company exports light commercial and multi-utility vehicles to more than 25 countries. It builds and tests engines for Mercedes-Benz and BMW’s India-made cars and SUVs at its Chakan and Chennai plants, respectively. Its joint venture with Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, Force MTU Power Systems, makes 10- and 12-cylinder Series 1600 engines (545 hp to 1,050 hp) for global power generation and rail use. Other products include the Traveller N, Trax, Force Traveller Monobus, and the Force Gurkha, sold in 3-door and 5-door variants.

The Force Urbania has already carved a niche for itself in the premium people mover segment, particularly among fleet operators, tour companies and luxury travel providers. With the new Deluxe variant, Force Motors has clearly shifted its focus towards offering a more premium cabin experience without compromising on practicality. The addition of new comfort features, enhanced safety equipment and the proven Mercedes-derived diesel engine should make the Urbania Deluxe even more appealing to buyers looking for a capable long-distance tourer.
