You read it first on CarBlogIndia! We’ve got to know that Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is prepping to bring the XRE 300 Adventure bike to India! Yes, the XRE 300 will be one of the four new products, which includes the mighty Africa Twin, that the manufacturer plans to bring to our shores. Currently, HMSI is tight lipped about Honda XRE 300 India launch prospects, but we are pretty sure that the bike is merely a few months away from its market launch. The XRE 300 will become the first-ever adventure bike by HMSI. It will rival the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure.

It may be noted that the XRE 300ย will become the second-ever such bike to launch in India. Hero MotoCorp has already tested the waters with the Impulse. The Hero Impulse is nothing but an ‘Indian-ised’ version of the Honda NXR 150 Bros. While the Impulse couldn’t fare too well on the sales charts, it did have a niche market appeal. Now, it seems HMSI is readying itself to jump into this almost uncharted territory with its XRE 300 Adventure bike.

While HMSI is yet to announce the Honda XRE 300 India launch date, the bike could be actually just a few months away from its market launch. We are guessing a festive season launch, which means the bike will be here by October, 2017. HMSI has already commenced the trial production of the Africa Twin, which means even the XRE 300 could be headed to the production line.
