Swedish Two-wheeler manufacturer Husqvarna is making the Indian debut in 2019. It is owned by KTM, which is owned by Bajaj Auto. The Indian two-wheeler brand has confirmed the news in the recent press conference.

Recently, spy photos of Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 surfaced online. It was spotted testing in Pune, near the manufacturing plant of Bajaj Auto. The body was of the original bike but alloy wheels, exhaust and engine were taken from Duke 390.

Recent reports suggest that for the first six months, both the motorcycles will bought in India as CBU units. Within a period of six months or so, they will be locally produced in Chakan.

For engine purposes, Husqvarna motorcycles will use a 373cc liquid-cooled engine, that comes in Duke 390, RC390 and Dominar 400. The engine produces 43.5 BHP and 37 Nm of peak torque. The bike will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Vitpilen might come only in White colour option, because of its identity as White Arrow. Svartpilen will come only in black colour, hence Black Arrow.

The spotted test mule of Vitpilen 401 gets 43mm USD telescopic forks at the front and a WP monoshock at the rear. The same setup comes on Duke 390.

Vitpilen 401 gets clip-on handlebars, LED circular headlamps, a circular digital cluster and LED DRLs too. Just like Duke, both the Husqvarna motorcycles will come equipped with front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS setup.

We expect the prices of both the motorcycles to be higher than Duke 390. As per our estimates, Bajaj Auto might price these bikes around Rs 3 Lakhs.
