From the Delta variant onwards, you will get LED projector headlamps, a new 2-din audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, automatic climate control, electrically operated outside mirrors among other features. The top-spec variant gets most of the benefits with this upgrade. Though the cabin layout of the Maruti Baleno facelift remains the same as before, it is now going to get minor cosmetic revisions to enhance the visual appeal. For instance, the air-con control module’s instrumentation now comes with new silver highlights while the seat fabric now comes with a black and blue colour scheme.

The engine specifications of the Maruti Baleno remains identical to the current iteration. The petrol derivative is going to get the same 1.2-litre unit capable of churning out 82 BHP along with 114 Nm of peak torque. The diesel derivative is going to get the same 1.3-litre, DDiS unit which is good for 74 BHP along with 190 Nm of peak torque.

The transmission responsibilities will be taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard for both the petrol as well as diesel derivative. The petrol derivative however is also going to get a CVT automatic gearbox. Contrary to expectations, we do not believe that Maruti is going to use its all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine in the facelifted Baleno in the future, neither in the BS-VI or the BS-IV guise.
