MG Motors might be considering to launch a compact SUV in India which is going to sit below the soon to be launched Hector SUV in its portfolio.

We are all well aware of the fact that MG Motors will launch their maiden product, a premium SUV named Hector, in India sometime during the second half of this year. This all-new offering from the Chinese owned British automaker is expected to be priced in-between the range of INR 14 lakh to INR 20 lakh. Despite falling in the said price segment, the exterior dimensions of this SUV quite clearly matchup to SUV placed in a segment above.

MG Motors have confirmed that after the launch of the Hector SUV, it is going to launch another utility vehicle in the Indian market. This vehicle, however, will not be powered by petrol or diesel since the same is going to be an all-electric offering. And hence, it is expected to fall in-between the price range of INR 20 lakh to INR 25 lakh.

Baojun and MG Motors are owned by SIAC, a Chinese automobile manufacturer. The MG Hector is, in fact, the Baojun 530 currently on sale in the Chinese market. The vehicle seen in the images seems to be a left-hand-drive one. Which means that the same is an international spec version brought to India for testing purposes.
