Citroen C5 Aircross will be PSA group’s first car for the Indian market and is going to make its official debut sometime during the year 2020.

Right from the time of the first sighting of the Citroen C5 Aircross in India this year, there were speculations of the same eventually making its way to our market. Soon afterwards, PSA Group officially confirmed that the Citroen brand is going to be the one for India. And today, in its first press conference in our country, the brand has confirmed that their first product in India is indeed going to be the C5 Aircross SUV.

The C5 Aircross is going to launch in India sometime during the year 2020. It will be followed by one new launch from the brand in India every year.

When launched, the Citroen C5 Aircross is likely to compete against the likes of Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass. Hence, prices will fall in-between the price range of INR 13 lakh to INR 18 lakh.

Being a mid-size premium SUV, the C5 Aircross will boast of a plethora of features onboard. Leather upholstery, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, LED projector headlamps to name a few.

It is quite early to comment on the engine specifications of this vehicle. However, it is likely it would get both petrol as well as diesel engine options to choose from. Transmission options will include a manual as well as an automatic option.

The C5 Aircross is going to be manufactured in India itself. This will help the carmaker to keep the prices of the vehicle in check. The company has also announced that it is going to launch a plug-in-hybrid variant of every new model in India.
