The 5-door Thar has been spotted testing in India on multiple occasions now. However, it always wears a heavy camouflage. Australian YouTubers Show 5-Door Mahindra Thar

While roaming around the factory, the Australian media personnel got a glimpse of the 5-door Thar and its components. For instance, the entire dashboard layout of the 5-door Thar is visible. It will most likely possess a dual-tone colour scheme. Also, the driver’s instrument cluster is slightly different. Additionally, one could also see that the space for the touchscreen infotainment display is large.

The regular Mahindra Thar presents a selection between two engine options – a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol. These engines deliver robust power and torque, with the diesel variant producing 130 hp and 320 Nm, while the petrol variant provides 150 hp and 320 Nm. Buyers have the flexibility to opt for either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The SUV comes equipped with a dedicated 4×4 drivetrain, ensuring its capability to navigate diverse terrains. The rear-wheel-drive model is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 120 PS and 300 Nm. The pricing for the Mahindra Thar starts at Rs 10.98 lakh for the rear-wheel-drive variant and reaches up to Rs 16.94 lakh, ex-showroom, for the top-of-the-line 4×4 model.
