Bangalore Woman Working on Laptop in Traffic

Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India with myriad startups which is why sights like these are relatively common.

In this latest viral video, a woman in Bangalore working on a laptop in grid-lock traffic is going viral. The Bangalore traffic is infamous around the country. There are few other cities where the traffic conditions are worse than Bangalore. It is really a shame since it is termed as the Silicon Valley of India and there are thousands of startups cropping up all over the city. The city was originally designed for far fewer residents which is why it has become such a great hurdle as the population of the city rises. This latest video is a reminder that there is a lot of work needed to resolve this menacing problem.

A certain Nihar Lohiya shared this instance on Twitter with the caption, “Peak Bangalore moment. Women working on a rapido bike ride to the office.” He found this woman who is on her way to work when she gets stuck in the traffic. This is a common sight in the mornings in Bangalore. Young working professionals often use the medium of shared cabs or rapido bikes so that they don’t have to go through the hassle of driving in such dense traffic themselves. The image shows the woman working on her laptop with hundreds of cars stuck in traffic around her.

The netizens shared their thoughts with comments like, “Imagine the pressure, the feeling of being lost in your own city where you work 10+ hours a day, the disdain. All she required was a smooth, traffic-free road where she could commute peacefully from her home and not account for the “extra” hour it takes to commute through a 5-km stretch.” Another user wrote, “Imagine the pressure if she has to work on a damn motorbike How insensitive are the employers But if she is late due to her own accord then she is to be blamed.”

As per the information, this incident took place along the Koramangala-Agara-Outer Ring Road stretch. It was reported that the traffic jam was caused due to a fallen tree damaged by a truck near the military gate of the service road near Ibbalur on the Outer Ring Road. A Twitter user mentions, “Glorifying terrible infrastructure is bad. We are going the Mumbai way where every fucking flood due to rain gets glorified as Spirit of Mumbai. Letโ€™s not do the same to our city! Call spade a spade!” It is clear that people are desperate for any solution for this seemingly perennial traffic issue in Bangalore.
