Here’s a List of BMW Cars at Auto Expo 2016
Out of the big three in the luxury segment, BMW seems to have lost a bit of steam over the past couple of years. A major reason for luxury car buyers looking elsewhere could be an ageing lineup of cars. This year, BMW will be addressing this issue, to some extent, with newer generation models and facelifts. 2016 BMW 7-Series India
BMW launched the new 7-Series in India at the Auto Expo this year. The 2016 MY 7-series was unveiled last year following which it was launched internationally in some markets. It replaces the current car in India, which has lost out big time to the Mercedes’ S-Class over the past year or so.

Prices start at INR 1.11 Cr. for the 730Ld variant, topping out at INR 1.55 Cr for the 750Li M Sport trim.
2016 BMW 7 Series India – Specs
BMW has launched the 730Ld and the 750Li in India. The diesel 730Ld will be powered by a 265 hp 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbo diesel. Powering the 750Li will be a 4.4 litre 8 cylinder turbocharged motor producing 450 hp and 650 Nm.

2016 BMW X1 India Launch
BMW showcased the 2016 Model X1, which replaces the previous gen X1 entry-level crossover. The new X1 looks more SUV-like than the outgoing model, which was often criticised for its estate car-like appearance. It will compete with the Audi Q3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

- The all-new BMW X1 xDrive20d xLine : INR 35,90,000

The petrol variant will be launched later in 2016.
2016 BMW X1 India – Specs
The India-spec X1 is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel, which puts out around 190 bhp of peak power, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. AWD could be offered as an option. Unlike the previous gen X1, the new generation is based on an all-new front wheel drive platform.

BMW 3-Series Facelift India Launch
The German auto giant’s entry-level sedan has been given a facelift. The LCI 3-Series, launched and showcased at the Auto Expo, the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the upcoming Jaguar XE till the next generation 3 comes along.

- BMW 320d Sport Line (Navigation) : INR 41, 50,000
- BMW 320d Luxury Line (Navigation) : INR 41, 50,000
- BMW 320d M Sport : INR 44, 50,000
BMW India will launch the petrol variant of the 3 Series LCi in coming months.
BMW 3-Series Facelift India -Specs
The facelift will continue to draw power from the same 2.0-litre diesel that powers the current model. This motor churns out 190 bhp and 400 Nm and is the only one on offer in India.

BMW India’s entire lineup of cars was showcsed at the Auto Expo including the M range and the i8. The M4 Coupe, X6 M and a strong lineup of bikes shared floor space with the new 7-Series, X1 and the facelifted 3-series.
