Famous singer Mika Singh was recently caught enjoying a spin in his new Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV. We know that Cadillac makes some of the most luxurious SUVs primarily in the American market. However, it doesn’t directly sell cars in India. Still, many top celebrities in our country devise ways to import cars from other countries. This might be one such case where Mika brought in this colossal SUV to India using one such route. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Mika Singh Seen in Cadillac Escalade
The video stems from bollywoodhelpline on Instagram. The visuals capture Mika Singh arriving in his massive black Cadillac Escalade at what looks like a public space. In fact, the paparazzi were already present at the location. Amidst security, the singer made his way into the media personnel. He stopped in front of them as they asked for pictures. Also, one of the cameramen asked Mika to play his famous song “aaj ki party”. Mika plays the song and thanks the paparazzi for their good wishes. Finally, he says that they will see him in this new car every day from now on. In other social media posts, he is seen removing the covering from his new SUV while taking the delivery, most likely at his home.
In international markets, the Cadillac Escalade comes with a variety of engine and transmission options. One of the most powerful iterations contains the 6.2-litre V8 mill, which produces a mammoth 682 hp and 885 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Mated to this engine is a 10-speed automatic transmission powering all four wheels. Just to give you an idea of its dimensions, the SUV is over 5.7 m long and has a wheelbase of over 3 m.
While there are multiple ways of owning a car in India that are not on sale, the most common way is to import it from a country which uses a Carnet permit. Note that with this permit, the owner is allowed to use the car in another country for a specific duration of time without attracting those huge import duties. The other way is obviously to simply pay the import taxes and purchase the car outright and pay for shipping and comply with the domestic regulations. We are not certain which route the singer took. In any case, we will definitely see him around in his swanky new SUV in the days to come.

Mika Singh’s latest automotive purchase is certainly hard to miss, and the Cadillac Escalade is every bit as imposing as you would expect from a full-size American luxury SUV. The sheer size of the Escalade, along with its powerful V8 engine and extravagant road presence, makes it quite different from the luxury SUVs we usually see Indian celebrities driving. Since Cadillac does not officially sell its vehicles in India, bringing one here involves a more complicated import process, although it is unclear which route Mika Singh has used in this case.
