BMW India has launched the updated BMW X5 in the country. The new model is available in both petrol and diesel options, with prices starting at ₹1.02 crore (ex-showroom). The X5 continues to be locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai.
2025 BMW X5 Prices and Variants in India
The updated BMW X5 is offered in four variants:
- X5 xDrive30d – ₹1,02,30,000
- X5 xDrive30d M Sport Pro – ₹1,15,00,000
- X5 xDrive40i – ₹1,00,30,000
- X5 xDrive40i M Sport Pro – ₹1,13,00,000
(Ex-showroom, including GST but excluding road tax and other charges).

Design and Features
The SUV gets a refreshed design with matrix adaptive LED headlights, L-shaped rear lights, and standard 21-inch alloy wheels. The M Sport Pro package adds gloss black elements, M Sport Exhaust, red caliper M Sport brakes, and piano black interior trim.
Inside, the updated X5 has a widescreen curved display combining a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.9-inch control display. Comfort Seats with electric adjustment and lumbar support are standard. A Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic sunroof, and 4-zone climate control are also part of the package.
2025 BMW X5 Engines and Performance
The BMW X5 continues with six-cylinder engines paired with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission and a 48V mild-hybrid system.
- X5 xDrive40i (Petrol):Â 381 hp, 520 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 5.4 sec
- X5 xDrive30d (Diesel):Â 286 hp, 650 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 6.1 sec
The standard adaptive 2-axle air suspension and xDrive all-wheel-drive system remain key highlights.
New Offroad Package
A major addition is the xOffroad package, now standard across variants. It offers four selectable modes — xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow. The system adjusts suspension height, traction, and stability control for different terrains. Reinforced underbody protection and an offroad camera view further improve capability.
Safety and Technology
Standard driver assistance features include Parking Assistant Professional, Reversing Assistant, surround view cameras, drive recorder, lane change warning, and attentiveness assistant. The SUV also supports remote services and BMW’s Digital Key Plus, which allows smartphones to act as car keys.
