British Vlogger Details India-Bound Suzuki E-Vitara

The first electric car from Suzuki has already been spied undergoing testing in India

A prominent British car expert gives us a walkaround tour of the India-bound Suzuki E-Vitara EV. Suzuki has definitely been late to the EV party. In a time where rivals are leaping ahead and we are witnessing new electric models every other month, it is critical to keep up with the trend. Clearly, the Japanese car marque is not fully convinced about the entire electric mobility scene just yet. In any case, it has showcased its first EV which is, not surprisingly, an SUV. Let us take a look at what this British car reviewer has to say about it.

India-Bound Suzuki E-Vitara EV – Exterior

This walkaround tour comes to us courtesy of Electrifying on YouTube. The host has the electric SUV with her on an ice rink. She likes the exterior of the E-Vitara. It bears a rugged personality with prominent LED lighting at the front including LED DRLs, a sturdy front fascia with a chunky bumper and fog lamps on the lower grille section. On the sides, it gets 18-inch or 19-inch aero-designed alloy wheels with colossal and imposing wheel arches with tough cladding on them and on the door panels, black side pillars and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles. At the rear, it has a roof-mounted spoiler, connected LED taillamps via a light console, and a sporty bumper.

India-Bound Suzuki E-Vitara – Interior and Features

On the inside, the Suzuki E-Vitara either gets pure black or black and brown upholstery. This colour combination is visible throughout the cabin including on the dashboard and door panels. Moreover, the electric SUV gets an almost rectangular 2-spoke steering wheel with controls, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display, stylish AC vents, physical controls for HVAC and multimedia, an electric sunroof, a floating centre console, wireless charging, 12-colour ambient lighting, drive modes, rear USB ports, retractable rear seats, 306-litre boot space, 750 kg towing capacity and more.

Specs

The Suzuki E-Vitara uses the new HEARTECT-e platform with two battery pack options – a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh. There will be options of choosing between 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. Suzuki has announced that the EV will make between 142 hp / 189 Nm to 172 hp / 189 Nm and 181 hp / 300 Nm (AWD) of peak power and torque, depending on the variant. In the 4WD setup, it will utilize Suzuki’s trademark ALLGRIP-e technology by distributing torque where it is needed the most. The ground clearance is a useful 180 mm and the EV weighs between 1,702 kg and 1,899 kg. More details will emerge closer to the launch. Let us keep an eye out for that in the coming months.
