Maruti Suzuki is offering a hefty discount of up to Rs 35,000 on the BS6 Baleno. However, the discount is different for all variants.
Now that the dealerships have started opening up, discounts and offers are raining. To recover the heavy losses faced by manufacturers in this lockdown, they are offering hefty discounts on almost all of the cars. In the case of Maruti Suzuki, you have offers applicable for all cars expect Ertiga and Vitara Brezza petrol.

As you can see, the base-spec Sigma variant gets the highest discount of Rs 35,000. The offer includes Rs 20,000 cash discount and Rs 15,000 as exchange bonus. Delta, Alpha and Zeta variants get Rs 15,000 cash discount and Rs 15,000 exchange bonus. The prices of BS6 Baleno start off at Rs 5.63 Lakhs up to Rs 8.96 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Maruti Baleno gets two engine options to choose from, including a 1.2 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine and the same engine with mild-hybrid technology. The regular engine produces 83 PS while the mild-hybrid unit produces 90 PS of peak power. Peak torque remains the same for both at 113 Nm. The petrol engine comes with a 5-speed MT and a CVT, whereas the petrol-hybrid gets a manual gearbox only.
Features onboard the Baleno include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, UV Cut Glass, Push-Button start-stop, automatic AC, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, SmartPlay studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Voice Command, Steering Mounted Audio Control, electric ORVMs and much more.
Safety features onboard include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, auto-dimming IRVM, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera and much more. Baleno remains one of the most affordable premium hatchbacks that you can buy among its rivals including Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz.

If you want to buy the Baleno even cheaper, you can opt for Toyota Glanza. The latter is a rebadged Baleno with the same engines, same features and same components. Even its repairing is the same but Toyota offers a better warranty package along at a slightly lower price.
