The car collection of Neeraj Chopra is simply exquisite. Neeraj is a track and field athlete for India. He recently bagged gold in Men’s Javelin at the World Athletics Championship. Born in 1997 in Haryana, he recently became a national and global sensation after being the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in Men’s Javelin throw. He also secured a silver medal in the World Championship and is the Diamond League champion in Javelin throw. Ford Mustang GT
The first supercar in the car collection of Neeraj Chopra is the iconic Ford Mustang GT. Mustang is the most popular muscle car in the world and has been for decades. It is a dream of many to own this car. There is a potent 5.0-litre Ti-VCT engine under the long hood that develops 396 hp and 515 Nm of peak power and torque. The automatic and manual transmission powers the rear wheels for an exhilarating performance allowing a 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.3 secs. The top speed is rated at 180 mph.

Range Rover Sport
There can never be a car collection complete without a Range Rover and Neeraj Chopra is no different. There are many iterations of the Range Rover. It makes rugged SUVs since time immemorial. Under its tall and butch bonnet sits a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that makes 567 hp and 700 Nm of peak power and torque. The automatic transmission powers all four wheels and enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.7 secs despite weighing a lot. Its top speed is capped at 260 km/h.

2 Mahindra Cars
There are two customized Mahindra vehicles in the car collection of Neeraj Chopra – XUV700 and Thar. Mahindra specifically designed the XUV700 for him with his personalised monikers including his name and the distance of the Javelin throw that clinched him the gold. It has a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine that makes 175 PS and 200 PS of peak power respectively. There are options of manual or automatic transmissions with AWD and ADAS. Thar also comes with a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol albeit in lower states of tune. These make 130 hp and 150 hp of peak power respectively. There are options of 6MT or AT with a dedicated 4×4 drivetrain with a low-range transfer case and mechanically locking differential.

Toyota Fortuner
Finally, there is also a Toyota Fortuner in the garage of Neeraj. Fortuner is the most popular 7-seat SUV in its segment in India. It comes with a 2.7-litre petrol and a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine that makes 164 hp / 245 Nm and 210 hp / 420 Nm (500 Nm with automatic transmission) of peak power and torque respectively. The transmission duties are carried by a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox with the 4×4 available with just the diesel variant. It has a price sticker of over Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom.
