Chevrolet Sail U-VA has been launched in India on 2nd November 2012 in New Delhi India. Talking about the details of Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback in India, it is an entry level premium hatchback which will compete with the likes of Ford Figo, Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo to name a few. It is not a coincidence that Chevrolet has decided to bring Sail to India, there are two very strong reasons behind the introduction of Sail to India. First reason is that Indian premium hatchback market is very strong and is growing at very good rate compared to small car segment of under Rs. 4 Lakh. Second reason is that Sail has established itself very well in the Chinese market where the customer needs are very similar to that of Indian customers.
Sail hatchback is one of the best sellers in China and bringing it to India seems to be a wise decision by General Motors. The Sail packs no-nonsense features like large interior space, well sorted suspension, decent exterior looks, simple but soothing interiors with comfortable seating and space. Along with it, the Sail offers good fuel economy of 20+ KMPL on the diesel variant, and running cost is one of the major deciding factors for car buyers in India. It comes with a standard 1 Lakh Km / 3 Year Warranty which is one of the highest in the segment. It also comes with a 5 years (1.5 Lakhs Km) warranty on engine and transmission.
