Chinese Range Rover Clone Costs Less Than Base Maruti Alto

We have seen numerous Chinese knock-offs of premium high-end luxury cars and this is the latest example of that

In this post, we are getting acquainted with the Chinese Range Rover clone which has a selling price of less than the base model of the Maruti Alto. That is simply insane. In fact, in terms of price, it costs $4,000, whereas the original Range Rover retails for $150,000. The difference is simply unmatched. However, the exterior styling is quite impressive despite the tiny size. For now, let us take a look at the details here.

Chinese Range Rover Clone Cheaper Than Base Alto

This video stems from Supercar Blondie on YouTube. The hosts have imported the Chinese Range Rover. Even after including the import taxes, the final price is less than $10,000. But the original price of $4,000 (approx. Rs 3.40 lakh INR) is even less than the cheapest car in India. Talking about the Range Rover replica, the front fascia is impressively designed with almost a similar headlamp pattern, grille, upright stance and a solid bumper. Unsurprisingly, the build quality is terrible, which is expected. In fact, the host is able to bend the metal on the fenders and bonnet with his bare hands.

On the sides, the short length gives away its true identity along with 14-inch tyres in comparison to the 22-inch on the actual Range Rover. It gets simple door handles, while the original Range Rover comes with flush-fitting door handles. Finally, the tail section is remarkably close to the original car. Furthermore, the company has taken care of some intricate details like the exterior panels on the front and side fenders. All in all, the exterior, apart from the overall dimensions, has been designed quite well.

Interior

On the inside, the sheer lack of space and flimsy quality of the components suit the price tag appropriately. The man shows the steering wheel with controls, a basic instrument cluster, the gear lever is extremely difficult to use since it feels so feeble that the man is afraid of putting any pressure on it, the seats are tiny and the overall amenities are almost non-existent. In fact, in the last phase of the video, they drag race the two cars. Obviously, there was always going to be a single winner in that. Just for fun, they drove the original Range Rover in reverse in the drag race and it still won. Overall, this has to be among the most compelling replicas of the iconic Range Rover.
