Datsun has updated its popular Redi-Go hatchback with the mandatory safety features. The prices of all variants have been hiked by up to Rs 14000.
Datsun has added the mandatory safety features on the Redi-GO making it compliant to the recent safety norms. It is the best-selling model from the manufacturer and is also a popular entry-level car.
The safety features on the Datsun Redi-GO now include Driver Airbag, Rear Parking Sensors, High-Speed Warning and Seat Belt Reminder as standard fitments. It was already equipped with ABS and EBD.
With this, Datsun has also revised the prices of the some of the variants. The top-spec T variant in different trims has been priced the same. These are the revised prices:

Datsun Redi-GO is available with a 0.8 Litre and 1.0 Litre engine. The 800cc engine produces 54 BHP and 72 Nm of peak torque. The bigger engine delivers 68 BHP and 91 Nm of peak torque.
The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the top-spec variants are available with a 5-speed AMT as well. It is one of the most affordable automatic cars in India. the mileage of the 800cc engine is 22.7 kmpl and the other one gives 22.5 kmpl.
Features onboard the Redi-GO include Bluetooth audio system, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs, MID display on the speedometer, central locking and remote key, and front fog lamps as well.

Datsun Redi-Go is 3429mm long, 1560mm wide and 1541mm tall. The wheelbase stands at 2348mm and the ground clearance is the best in its class at 185mm.
Redi-GO competes with the likes of Renault Kwid, Maruti Alto 800 and Alto K10. Redi-GO is a popular hatchback in its segment, placed below the Datsun Go and GO Plus.
