During the time of the Diwali season, the largest carmaker in the country is offering an exchange bonus on the Jimny worth Rs 20,000. The Maruti Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, delivering a respectable 103 hp and 134 Nm of power and torque. You can pair this engine with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. For optimal power distribution to all four wheels, the SUV employs Suzuki’s renowned ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system, which includes a low-range transfer case and a locking differential. With a ground clearance of 210 mm, the Jimny offers impressive approach, breakover, and departure angles at 36°, 24°, and 50°, respectively. As for pricing, it ranges from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05 lakh, ex-showroom.

Thar has been the most successful off-roader in the country since its inception. At the moment, there are benefits upto Rs 30,000 on the 4×4 diesel automatic trim. The Mahindra Thar offers two engine options – a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, with power and torque figures of 130 hp / 320 Nm and 150 hp / 320 Nm, respectively. Buyers can choose between a manual and an automatic transmission. The SUV is equipped with a dedicated 4×4 drivetrain, ensuring its capability to conquer a variety of terrains. Pricing for the Mahindra Thar spans from Rs 10.98 lakh for the rear-wheel-drive version to Rs 16.94 lakh, ex-showroom, for the top-of-the-line 4×4 trim. Force Gurkha is the closest worthy rival to the Mahindra Thar in our market. However, it has not achieved too high volumes. There are dealer-end discounts available on the Gurkha during this Diwali season too. It has the tried and tested 2.6-litre diesel engine which generates 91 hp and 250 Nm of peak power and torque. There is a 5-speed manual transmission with this vehicle along with a 4×4 drivetrain. It retails for Rs 15.10 lakh, ex-showroom for the single fully-loaded trim. The 5-door version of the Gurkha has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. The launch might just be around the corner.

The final product on this list of adventure SUVs with Diwali discount offers is the Toyota Hilux. It is, essentially, the pickup truck version of the mighty Fortuner. One could get Rs 5 lakh Cartel Discount Limit on it. The Hilux shares its diesel engine with the Fortuner, a sturdy 2.8-litre powerhouse capable of producing a robust 201 hp and 420 Nm of peak power and torque (500 Nm with automatic transmission). You can mate this engine with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s worth noting that all Hilux variants come standard with a 4-wheel-drive system, and unlike the Fortuner, there’s no petrol engine option. The ex-showroom prices for the Hilux range between Rs 30.40 lakh and Rs 37.90 lakh.
