During the press conference of the Fast X world premiere, Vin said, “Going into making this movie, the studio asked if this could be a two-parter. And after the studio saw this one, they said, โ€˜Could you make โ€œFast X,โ€ the finale, a trilogy?” Her love interest in the movie and the Fast veteran, Michelle Rodriguez also commented, “Itโ€™s three acts in any story.” All these are clear indications as to the state of affairs regarding the future of the Fast and Furious Finale. Talking about Fast X, Rodriguez was quoted saying, “It is not really an ending, but itโ€™s also like, โ€˜You canโ€™t do this to us. Weโ€™re your die-hard fans, you canโ€™t do this to us! Youโ€™re going to feel so cheated in a way, but then so gratified and excited about whatโ€™s to come. I canโ€™t divulge more than that but get ready for a shocker. After 23 years of shooting these things, itโ€™s really tough at this stage to shock me, and they got me good.” This highlights that the audience will be in for a shocker.
