New Hyundai Venue with Aftermarket Alloy Wheels

The new iteration of the compact SUV bears promising modern-day components, including fresh styling and a whole host of the latest tech

In this post, we take a look at the details of the first-ever aftermarket alloy wheels on the new Hyundai Venue. The new Venue is all the rage at the moment. The Korean auto giant has always experienced impressive sales figures with the Venue. Despite cut-throat competition in this segment, the Venue held its own and continued to attract new buyers. However, in the latest avatar, the SUV offers all sorts of new-age tech and convenience amenities along with active and passive safety features. For now, let us glance at the details of the SUV with new alloys.

New Hyundai Venue with Aftermarket Alloy Wheels

This post stems from ravityres_amritsar on Instagram. The visuals capture a brand new Hyundai Venue, with its wheels taken off. This prominent aftermarket car shop is famous for offering all sorts of designs and patterns for alloys. With this new Venue, the owner opted for a large black multi-spoke pattern, which looks extremely sporty with red brake calipers. When the vehicle is driven on the road, we see the sheer size of these tyres. In fact, they extend out of the body, complementing the squared-off wheel arches. All in all, these alloy wheels certainly elevate the imposing road presence of the new Venue.

The new Hyundai Venue comes with multiple powertrain options – a 1.2-litre Kappa MPi petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine, generating a familiar 83 PS / 114.7 Nm, 120 PS / 172 Nm and 116 PS / 250 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual with the NA petrol, a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT with the turbo petrol and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with the diesel engine. The prices range from Rs 7.90 lakh to Rs 15.51 lakh, ex-showroom.

My View

Installing aftermarket alloy wheels on a vehicle is the easiest way to transform the appearance. However, one must exercise caution while selecting new alloys with unusual dimensions. While these might look cool, there can be some significant downsides. For instance, if the alloy wheels are too large, a considerable weight is added to the car. This could affect the performance slightly and will definitely reduce mileage. Furthermore, they can even affect the suspension and other mechanical components in the long run. Hence, I would advise our readers to not install too large wheels in comparison to the stock to avoid any issues.

Yatharth Chauhan, Managing Editor

As someone who’s been closely tracking the Indian car scene for over a decade, I can tell you that the Hyundai Venue remains one of the most well-rounded compact SUVs in its segment. The aftermarket alloy trend highlights just how emotionally invested Indian buyers are in personalizing their vehicles. That said, it’s crucial to strike the right balance between aesthetics and practicality, oversizing alloys may look great on Instagram but can easily compromise ride quality, efficiency, and long-term reliability.
