Reports suggest that Hero Achiever 150 might have been discontinued in the market. The primary reason for this is because of poor sales over the past few years.

Hero Achiever 150 might not be available in the Indian market now, as reports suggest that the company might have already discontinued it. As you can see, it still was not equipped with ABS.

Most of the two-wheeler manufacturers had to discontinue their several products in the wake of new safety norms. The primary reason for this is the poor sale of a certain model, which will soon get hiked prices.

For the past couple of years, Hero failed to report decent sales from the Achiever. For the month of February 2019, it barely made 128 units, seeing a 90% decline in Y-o-Y sales.

Similarly, in January 2019, it reported sales of 234 units, compared to 1364 units in January 2018. Other 150cc motorcycles can be seen crossing the 15000 units sales mark every month.

Reports suggest that the Hero Achiever 150 with ABS will cost even more, thus making its sales even worse. Usually, a single-channel ABS demands a price hike of Rs 6500-7000.

Despite being one of the most fuel efficient in its segment with an attractive styling, it failed to make its mark in this segment. Reports say that Achiever was still popular in certain regions.

Hero Achiever 150 uses a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, that is capable of producing 13.4 BHP at 8000 RPM and 12.8 Nm at 5000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Features onboard include the trademark i3S technology, Always-on Headlamps, disc brake and a large spacious seat. The i3S technology helps in maintaining the fuel economy.

For suspension, Achiever uses telescopic shock absorbers at the front and swingarm suspension with adjustable shocks at the back. Braking is handled by 130mm drum brakes at both the ends and an optional front disc brake.

Now, the Hero Achiever 150 goes against the likes of Honda Unicorn 150, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha SZ-RR. It is clearly evident that in this price range, most of the people would either consider Pulsar 150 or Unicorn 150.
