Drag race is a common method modern YouTubers adopt to compare the performances of two motorcycles in straight-line acceleration.
In this latest video, a vlogger performs a drag race competition between a Hero Karizma XMR and a 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS200. Both these are performance motorcycles within a relatively affordable budget. On one hand, we have the Hero Karizma XMR. It has been around for a long time in our market. But there was a long period in the last decade when it was not available. Hero brought it again only last year. On the other hand, Bajaj recently updated its NS200 for 2024. Hence, this is a perfect competition between the two bikes.

Hero Karizma XMR vs 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Drag Race
This video comes from Ayush Verma on YouTube. The vlogger has two motorcycles side-by-side. For the first round, he takes the Karizma, while his companion has the Pulsar NS200. On the count of three, the two riders accelerate hard. Initially, both the bikes are neck-to-neck. In fact, the Pulsar takes a slight lead. However, after some time, the momentum of the Karizma takes it ahead of the Pulsar. Hence, it took the first round. For the second round, the riders were switched. Even on this occasion, the Pulsar took the lead during the initial phase. However, just like the last round, the Karizma overtook it and stayed ahead for the entire duration. Therefore, the Karizma was the clear winner of this race.
Specs Comparison
The Hero Karizma XMR possesses a 210-cc liquid-cooled engine with 4V DOHC technology producing a healthy 25.5 PS and 20.4 Nm of peak power and torque. There is a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch with this engine. On the other hand, the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has a 199.5-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces a decent 24.5 PS and 18.74 Nm of peak power and torque. There is a 6-speed gearbox. Hence, the Karizma certainly has an edge over the Pulsar which is also reflected in the final results.

Author’s Note
These days, we keep witnessing more and more cases of YouTubers performing drag races. While it might be great to test the straight-line acceleration of a motorcycle, we wouldn’t recommend our readers to get involved in such activities. YouTubers create such content to garner views. Behind the scenes, they often take a lot of precautions to ensure their safety. Hence, if you imitate them, there are high chances of you injuring yourselves, or others on the road. Hence, stay away from the stunts and enjoy these only virtually. Make sure to encourage everyone around to do the same.
