Hero Karizma XMR

In the 2023 Hero Karizma XMR 210, you’ll find a robust 210-cc liquid-cooled 4V DOHC engine that packs a punch, offering an impressive peak power of 25.5 PS at 9,250 RPM and a maximum torque of 20.4 Nm at 7,250 RPM. Handling the transmission duties is a 6-speed gearbox, which includes a slip and assist clutch mechanism for smoother operation. Safety is paramount, with this model featuring dual-channel ABS. Regarding its braking system, there’s a 300 mm disc up front and a 230 mm disc in the rear. Up front, the suspension comprises a 37 mm telescopic fork with an anti-friction bush, while the rear suspension features a 6-step pre-load adjustable gas-charged monoshock system, ensuring comfort and control. The front tyre has a 100-section width, while the rear tyre is broader at 140-section. The bike’s dimensions include a wheelbase of 1,351 mm, a seat height of 810 mm, and a ground clearance of 160 mm. Despite its robust construction, the bike maintains a weight of 163.5 kg. Moreover, it boasts an 11-litre fuel tank capacity.

KTM RC200

On the other hand, the KTM RC200 is also a prominent bike with impressive credentials. It comes with a 199-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which is OBD-2 compliant and generates 25.8 PS and 19.5 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-clutch. It has a curved radiator with better cooling characteristics. At the front, it has a 43 mm WP Apex USD fork, while the rear suspension setup consists of a preload-adjustable WP Apex monoshock. Moreover, the front tyre is 17-inch with a 310 mm disc and the rear tyre is 17-inch with a 220 mm disc.

Underpinning the KTM RC200 is a steel Trellis frame. The bike comes with a dual-channel ABS. The fuel tank capacity is a generous 13.7 litres. Also, the ground clearance is a decent 158 mm, the saddle height is 824 mm offering a commanding riding position, and the bike weighs 151 kg. All these factors make it a proper sporty bike designed for a spirited ride and handling.

Karizma vs RC200 Price Comparison

The newly launched Hero Karizma XMR comes with an attractive price of Rs 1.73 lakh, ex-showroom. This could easily undercut most motorcycles in this segment. In fact, the KTM RC200 is priced at a significantly higher Rs 2.18 lakh, ex-showroom. The edge, in terms of the pricing, clearly goes to the Karizma.

Since the Hero, Karizma XMR is the newest model in the segment, it comes with all the latest tech and convenience features. This includes things like an LCD instrument cluster, enabling Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and features of illuminated switchgear. The bike is equipped with dual LED projector headlights, complete with distinctive H-shaped LED DRLs. What adds to its appeal is a unique adjustable wind visor, a dynamic dual-tone exhaust, a sculpted fuel tank, XMR body graphics on the fairing, and elevated clip-on handlebars. This combination offers a plethora of comfort and convenience features for potential buyers. The bike offers a selection of three attractive colours: Iconic Yellow, Matte Phantom Black, and Turbo Red.
