Hero Karizma ZMR was once a flagship product of the brand. With time, its sales have tanked badly in the market. The sales figure for November stood at 4 units.

Hero Karizma made its debut in India way back in the early 2000s. The motorcycle was endorsed by Hrithik Roshan. Due to its near-sportsbike look and a powerful engine, it became an instant hit.

The first generation was much appealing to the millenial. Amidst the regular commuter bikes, this came as a different experience for everyone. It was one of the costliest entry-level premium bikes at that time.

Over the years, with new generations and facelifts, Karizma lost its Midas touch. It received 3-4 new generation updates over the year. Now, it is Hero Karizma ZMR, which is the slowest performer for Hero Motocorp.

Now the main question arises, will it be discontinued or not? Earlier, we reported that Hero might consider a whole new Karizma, launching by next year. So, the current generation Hero Karizma ZMR might be stopped to make way for the next-generation.

Another reason for us to speculate its discontinuation is the absence of ABS. Agreed that even Xtreme Sports and Glamour have not received ABS yet. However, Xtreme 200R gets ABS and it was launched around July 2018.

Karizma ZMR was relaunched back in July 2018 with a new BS-4 compliant engine and a new dual-tone variant. Otherwise, it received no cosmetic update or any feature upgrade. Karizma was stopped in 2015 because of poor sales. Post that, it was only available on order basis.

Hero Karizma ZMR is exported to international markets. The exported units received engine updates, but the Indian-spec was completely discontinued in 2015.

The bike gets a 223cc air-cooled engine that produces 20.2 BHP of power and 19.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Features onboard include LED tail lights, dual-headlamps, LED position lamps, Fully digital instrument cluster and front and rear disc brakes.
