Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has exciting news for prospective C-SUV buyers. The company has started the production of its Hyundai Crete-rivalling mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, at its Tapukara-based facility in Rajasthan. With this, India becomes the first country to produce the global model. It’s noteworthy that The Elevate boasts a high localization level of over 90%.

Honda Elevate Launch and Pre-Bookings

September 2023 is when Honda plans to introduce the all-new compact SUV to the Indian market. The carmaker has already commenced pre-launch bookings for the Elevate. Interested buyers can pre-order the new model to escape potentially high waiting periods later. The Elevate is the logical successor to the BR-V, which was on sale from 2016-2020. The new model, though, feels like a great attempt at cracking the highly competitive compact SUV market. It will go on to rival a range of SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. Prices will be out only at the time of the launch. That said, expect the new SUV to be priced close to the City.

Design & Interior

The Honda Elevate looks quite bold and should look as modern as any other mid-size SUV. Thanks to a large grille, the SUV’s front face exudes boldness, while the crisp character lines add an element of dynamism. The rear impresses with its clean look while the connected taillamps are in sync with the latest styling trends. Inside, the Elevate offers a sufficiently spacious interior cabin. Planned as per Honda’s “Man Maximum Machine Minimum” philosophy, the Honda Elevate offers segment-best wheelbase. Even the boot space, at 458-litre, is pretty generous for a vehicle of this dimensions.

The Honda Elevate will be available in a wide variety of colors, including single-tone and dual-tone options. The color palette includes-

  • Phoenix Orange Pearl (New)
  • Obsidian Blue Pearl
  • Radiant Red Metallic
  • Platinum White Pearl
  • Golden Brown Metallic
  • Lunar Silver Metallic
  • Meteoroid Gray Metallic
