After Hyundai announced the launch of its N Line products in India, we have come across these iterations of the Hyundai Casper micro SUV. The Casper is an upcoming micro SUV that was launched in the international market recently. Competing against the likes of Maruti Ignis, S-Presso, Renault Kwid and the upcoming Tata Punch in India, Hyundai wants to cash in on the opportunity of expanding its portfolio into this segment too. While Hyundai is busy planning the launch of the Casper here, the automobile enthusiasts have started coming up with cool iterations representing how the Casper N might look like. They have take inspiration from the international N models on sale from Hyundai. Let us take a look at one of such design concepts.
Hyundai Casper N Micro SUV
The front end of the Casper features an ultra-modern design language from Hyundai with stylish LED DRLs on the bonnet, a large front grille, rounded headlamps on the bumper, sport front area with skid plates, red inserts at the bottom of the bumper, typical blue paint shade representing the N Line from Hyundai, red inserts on the side skirting, sporty black alloy wheels with low profile tyres for better handling among other things.
The sides also feature massive wheel arches, roof rails, shark fin antenna and door handles of the C-pillar for the rear doors. The rear is unique in the sense that it features a unique pattern for the brake light on the top and the actual taillamps are rounded and on the bumper below. There are dual exhaust tips with a chrome finish and a red insert on the rear diffuser as well. The N badging is visible at the rear too.
The Hyundai Casper is likely to launch in India in two engine variants – 1.1L petrol from the Santro and 1.2L petrol from the Grand i10 Nios. The smaller motor will help the carmaker price the Casper very aggressively while the Nios-sourced 1.2-litre unit will have performance at par with the Maruti Ignis. Also, there are good chances both the motors will be sold with an optional 5-speed AMT each. The expected prices might be in the region of Rs 4 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, ex-showrrom.
