Hyundai Venue launched at Rs 6.50 lakh beats the Maruti Brezza in pricing. But let’s find out how these two cars fair against each other in other aspects!

Hyundai Venue features a new age design, the split headlight design which features LED DRL’s over the top and headlamps at the bottom. The car sits on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels which make it look significant along with huge grille with chrome inserts.

The interiors also follow a new dashboard design with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Apple CarPlay with Android Auto. The Arkamys surround system does it job good and it gets an electric sunroof.

Here we take a closer look at how the Hyundai Venue fares against the Maruti Brezza, the most popular compact SUV in this segment.

The 1.4-litre diesel engine pumps 84bhp with 220Nm of torque. On the other hand, Maruti Brezza is only available in 1.2-L diesel engine churning out 89bhp with 200Nm of torque.

The compact SUV is powered by petrol engine too, a 1.0L Turbocharged petrol motor which will generate a maximum power of 120 bhp with 172 Nm of torque. The other 1.2-L naturally aspirated motor churns out 83bhp with 115Nm of torque.

The turbocharged petrol motor is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as well as 7-speed DCT. For the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol motor, it is available with 5-speed manual gearbox.

In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Venue is simply the same length as of Maruti Brezza. The compact SUV is shorter in width and height than Maruti Brezza. Also, the wheelbase for both cars remains the same.

Design

In terms of design, both cars look quite attractive. Hyundai Venue sports a split headlight design which looks refreshing. It tastes well on the design part, much young to the Brezza which is quite old now in the market. Maruti Brezza has been in the market for quite some time now and beats the SUV’s of its segment at par with the sales number.

On the interiors, both cars are very well loaded with all the convenience features and the dashboard layout of both cars are pretty appealing too. The all-black theme looks uber cool with silver brushed gear knob, door handles and gear lever.

Hyundai Venue packs more features like the large 8-inch infotainment system with the Blue link technology system. It means the car will get in-built apps, maps and navigation services and voice assistant are some of the features.

It also gets wireless charging, keyless entry, push-button start, air purifier and more. The car also gets an eSIM based connectivity.
