Hyundai Venue, the sub-4-metre compact SUV will be the smallest SUV the brand has to offer. On the occasion of 23rd foundation day, Hyundai rolled out the first Venue from the assembly line at the company’s Sriperumbudur manufacturing facility, just outside Chennai.

The car has started reaching dealerships and it is the silver colour which can be seen in the video. The video showcased, Hyundai has introduced a new gadget like Alexa which is expected to control the audio system using voice command.

Hyundai Venue hosts loads of features and is the first connected SUV in India which features embedded eSIM and Blue Link Technology. Apart from this, the car gets am 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car gets an electric sunroof, smart key with pushbutton start, air purifier, wireless charging; the features which will be a good value for money.

It will be offered in three engine options; two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1.4-litre diesel motor churns out 89bhp with 220 Nm of peak torque is mated to 6-speed manual transmission.

Talking about petrol engines, the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor churns out 120bhp of power on tap with 172Nm of torque mated to 7-speed DCT as well as a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine offered 83bhp with 115Nm of torque is mated to 5-speed manual transmission.

The interiors of the compact SUV will sport an all-black theme with off-white trims for roof and pillars. The new dashboard design will be seen along with the usual silver brushed gear-knob, gear lever and door handles.

The compact SUV competes against the likes of Maruti Brezza, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. The Hyundai Venue starts at a price of Rs. 6.5 lakhs and tops out at Rs. 11.15 lakhs (ex-showroom).
