Indian T20 Cricketer Delivery Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition

Goan cricketer Ganeshraj Narvekar becomes first in India to take delivery of the limited Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition electric SUV.

A cricketer from Goa has made headlines by taking delivery of a special edition electric SUV. Ganeshraj Narvekar, who plays in India’s inter‑state T20 circuit, took delivery of his Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition recently. The delivery was marked by a small celebration at a local Mahindra dealership. Narvekar shared images and video of the moment on social media. He posed with his mother beside the car as they cut a cake to mark the occasion. The unit he received is reportedly the 7th out of the limited‑edition run of 999 models.

Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition

Mahindra launched the BE6 Batman Edition earlier this year. It is based on the top variant of the electric SUV. The price tag is Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking opened on 23 August, and deliveries began on September 20, coinciding with International Batman Day. The embellishments reflect strong Batman influence, right from the exterior styling to cabin touches.

On the exterior, the BE6 Batman Edition features a satin black finish. Gold accents are present on brake callipers, suspension springs, and custom graphics. The car also carries Batman logos across wheels, doors, and the tailgate. Inside, the theme continues with black leather and suede, gold stitching, and custom Bat emblems on seats, trim and even the boost button. A unique plaque shows each car’s edition number.

Mechanically, the special edition retains the same setup as the regular BE6 Pack Three variant. It uses a 79 kWh batteryand a rear-mounted electric motor. The range is claimed to be around 682 km (ARAI). Performance numbers and drivetrain remain unchanged. Initially, Mahindra planned to make only 300 units of this edition, but strong demand prompted the company to increase the number to 999 units. All units reportedly sold out in just 135 seconds after bookings opened.

Goan Cricketer Takes Delivery of 7/999 BE6 Batman Edition

Narvekar’s delivery event marks a first of its kind among Indian cricketers. He called his new car “my BEAST” in a social media caption. The limited version adds prestige and exclusivity to his vehicle collection. This delivery also underscores how special edition cars are gaining popularity in India. Manufacturers are tapping into fandom, cinematic themes and cultural symbols to add value beyond mere specs. When a cricketer picks such a car, it brings attention and aspirational appeal.

Ganeshraj Narvekar’s acquisition may inspire other buyers to opt for homegrown EVs. It is a clear signal that the electric mobility and lifestyle segments in India are maturing. As schools of cricket spread beyond big cities, such high‑value purchases are increasingly becoming visible in smaller states too. The Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition, with its striking visuals and unique branding, now sits in a few select garages. Narvekar’s unit may become a collector’s car over time. But for now, it is a definite style statement.

As someone who has tracked India’s evolving car culture for over 17 years, I find it fascinating to see a homegrown brand like Mahindra tap into fan culture with something as bold as the BE6 Batman Edition. It’s not just about specs anymore – design, emotion and identity matter. Seeing a young cricketer in Goa become the owner says a lot about how far both electric mobility and aspirational buying have come in India.
