India’s Largest Truck with 452 Tires

This video comes from Raju Moto Vlogger on YouTube. It captures a rather unique sight. A ginormous truck is making its way on a highway in Gujarat. As per the information in the video, the truck is travelling from Gujarat to Punjab. Interestingly, the combination of trailers comprises of 452 tires. Moreover, it takes 4 engines to move this gigantic boiler around. Two trucks are pulling this arrangement from the front, one truck is pushing it from the rear and a third engine is driving the tyres. This is a rather complicated arrangement but the operation is relatively smooth.

As seen in the video, the struggles lie with what is present on the roads. For instance, the information boards you would find on highways indicating the distance to various places pose a clearance issue for this truck because of its height. Hence, cranes have been used to temporarily lift these boards to let the truck pass. Similarly, the electricity wires are a common sight everywhere in the country. There are people moving alongside the truck to lift these wires up so that the truck doesn’t break them. A staff of multiple people is needed to safely navigate this colossal assembly. It takes months, in some cases over a year, to cover long distances.

What We Think

These factors illustrate the enormity of this challenge. It’s a well-known fact that our country houses numerous extensive factories and industries across various regions. The road network serves as the sole means to connect every corner of India. Consequently, occurrences of this nature are becoming more frequent in recent times. Moreover, with each passing year, we witness enhancements in our infrastructure. Hopefully, we will eventually reach a point where transporting such large trucks and trailers won’t pose any significant issues for us.
