Jeep Compass Owner Reviews Mahindra Scorpio N

Mahindra Scorpio N is one such SUV that presents a unique alternative to the buyers and could be compared to a whole bunch of SUVs from segments below and above it.

In this video, a Jeep Compass owner reviews the newly launched Mahindra Scorpio N. Mahindra has launched the Scorpio N for all those who want the DNA of the iconic Scorpio and features of the modern age. The Scorpio N comes with powerful engines and the latest features with a premium cabin distancing itself from the utilitarian Scorpio of the past. On the other hand, Compass is the premium mid-size SUV that is popular for being a great driver’s car. Let us see what the owner of the Compass has to say about the Scorpio.

The video comes from Arun Panwar on YouTuber. He compares the Jeep Compass of his friend with the new Scorpio N. For reference, the price of this Compass is around Rs 27 lakh and the Scorpio N costs Rs 25 lakh, on-road. The difference in the size of the two SUVs is quite apparent even at first glance. The dimensions of the Scorpio N are significantly larger than the Compass. In fact, the Compass owner mentions that he likes the Scorpio N as well.

As they sit inside and discuss the interior and features, there are distinct pros and cons to both. The Compass owner agrees that the inside of the Scorpio N feels much roomier and bigger and the seating position is quite high giving a commanding view of the outside. The upholstery feels rich too. However, the quality of the reverse parking camera is not great and there is no Apple CarPlay which is an issue. In addition to that, the YouTuber himself feels that there are some useless apps in the infotainment system. The sunroof is a smaller unit as well compared to the panoramic sunroof of the Compass.

Not As Confident and Premium

While driving the Scorpio, the Compass owner felt that the gearbox is a bit too light and unpredictable, at times. Moreover, the steering is very light and the vehicle feels easy to drive. This is great in heavy traffic and city conditions. Also, the overall build quality is quite rugged and reliable, as is the case with all Mahindra products. But the interior of the Compass and some features are better, as mentioned by the Compass owner. Finally, he says that according to his needs, he would still opt for the Compass or the XUV700 and not the Scorpio N.
