The iconic former wrestler took to social media to announce this news. He wrote on X, “Took the Civic TypeR in for service and was fortunate enough to pick up the brand new @Honda Prelude!! Thank U @wc_honda for helping add this Boost Blue Beauty to the Honda Lineup! Time to see what this thing can do!!!” We know that John has been associated with Honda since 2020. 2026 Honda Prelude
Prelude holds an immense legacy for Honda as the first car was launched back in 1978. It remained in production until 2001, spanning over 5 generations. After a hiatus of around 25 years, the Prelude moniker has made in comeback in a hybrid avatar. It carries a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle inline 4-cylinder petrol engine with a two-motor hybrid configuration for a combined power and torque output of 200 hp and 315 Nm, respectively. The transmission duties are carried out by an e-CVT automatic, which features the trademark Honda S+ Shift technology for simulated gearshifts.
The car collection of John Cena is quite impressive. It includes the likes of the 2007 Ford Mustang Saleen Parnelli Jones Limited Edition, 1969 COPO Chevrolet Camaro, 1966 Dodge Hemi Charger 426, 2013 Custom Corvette CR InCINErator, 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, 1970 Plymouth Superbird and 2006 Ford GT, to name a few. Clearly, he is fond of vintage cars. Still, he is excited to test out what the new Prelude has in store.
