In a rather unique turn of events, a Kia USA designer decided to express his love for his parents via the medium of a brand new Mahindra BE6 as a gift. An Instagram post from rishavkumar_ encapsulates the occasion of his parents receiving his gift. The latest breed of Mahindra EVs has been a talking point for potential customers and industry experts alike. We see celebrities and eminent personalities opt for these electric SUVs. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that a Kia USA designer also gave the BE6 as a present to his parents.
Kia USA Designer Gifts Mahindra BE6 to Parents in India
Digging a bit about this post, I came to notice that Rishav Kumar is currently working as an Interior Design Level 2 at Kia America. Previously, he has been employed at Canoo, Polestar, Peugeot and Volkswagen. Having worked around the globe during these engagements, he is clearly an experienced professional, especially when it comes to the interior of premium automobiles. Hence, his opinion and decision to buy a Mahindra BE6 for his parents in India speak volumes about his confidence in the Indian auto giant.
The video showcases his parents taking delivery of the new white-coloured Mahindra BE6. The electric coupe SUV is seen in the images during the delivery event. In the post, Rishav mentions he wishes to show his gratitude towards his parents for all that they have done for him. He even praises Pratap Bose, the Chief Design Officer at Mahindra, for creating this masterpiece. The fact that a fellow automobile interior designer is pleasantly impressed by another vehicle is a testament to how deeply the Mahindra engineers and designers have invested their time and skills in this car. As a matter of fact, I have been hearing positive sentiments around the XEV 9e and BE6 from the industry experts in my circles, as well as customers.

As soon as I first rested my eyes on the Mahindra BE6, I could feel the excitement it was going to create not just in India, but globally. Sure enough, its appeal was reflected in the record sales and high praises from automobile media across the board. To say that it bears a revolutionary design in the Indian car market would be an understatement. This is especially true with the recent special Batman Edition versions. I felt like I was sitting inside a premium sports car once I was seated inside the BE6. Also, the performance is typically reminiscent of fire-breathing monsters as well, courtesy of the instant torque delivery from the electric mill. In all fairness, I am not surprised that all sorts of buyers are looking to buy the Mahindra BE6 and even the XEV 9e over some entry-level premium cars in the country.

As someone who has both studied car design and chronicled the Indian auto industry for over a decade, I see the Mahindra BE6 as a true design breakthrough, something I even mentioned in my review of this electric car. Its bold, globally fluent aesthetics signal a new era for Indian automotive design. We’ve finally got an Indian EV that’s earning admiration from professionals across the world.
