The bookings for the upcoming KTM RC125 have commenced across some dealerships. The official teaser has been revealed, ahead of the launch this month.
KTM RC125 has been teased ahead of its expected launch by the end of this month. Seeing the recent success of Duke 125, KTM has decided to bring the baby RC to our market as well.
The bookings for the KTM RC125 have commenced for an amount of Rs 5,000. The display units and test ride units will reach the dealerships post the launch. The deliveries are expected to commence by the first week of next month.
KTM had been exporting the India-made RC125 to the foreign markets for some time now. The manufacturer did not launch it earlier due to its pricing higher than regular 125cc motorcycles.
KTM RC125 will use a 124.6cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 14.3 BHP at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Due to its ergonomics, the RC125 will have a better top speed that Duke.
The RC125 will get the same equipment that comes on RC200. That gives it the dual projector headlamps, clip-on handlebars, windscreen-mounted rear view mirrors, split seats, exposed steel-trellis frame and underbelly exhaust unit.
The teaser shows that it will be available in a new Black/Orange dual-tone option. The other options will include White/Orange and Fully Black also. The loud and snazzy graphics will retain the bike’s sporty looks.
The suspension will be handled by 41mm WP Upside-Down forks at the front and monoshock at the back. Disc brakes at both the ends with standard single-channel ABS will provide the braking power.
The RC125 will further continue with the same digital instrument console that come on the bigger RC200. There are reports suggesting that the entire lineup might get Bluetooth-consoles inspired by the one on Duke 390, in near future.
So, the KTM RC125 will go against the likes of Yamaha R15 V3 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200, in terms of pricing. We can expect the baby RC to demand a price of Rs 1.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
