Lamborghini Models Sold Out in India Until 2027

The Italian supercar maker just experienced an incredible sales year in India, and the demand continues to rise

As per the latest news reports, Lamborghini models have been sold out for the Indian market until 2027. That is unprecedented and represents the enormous demand for the Italian supercar giant. This surge in demand is largely driven by a growing number of young, affluent buyers in the country. In fact, India has the second-youngest Lamborghini owners after China. That is also indicative of the kind of success Indians are displaying in their lives and why the economy is thriving.

Lamborghini Models Sold Out in India Until 2027

In the last few years, the number of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), including young entrepreneurs and startup founders, has risen exponentially. This has contributed to a massive demand for ultra-luxury high-end supercars. In this category, players like Lamborghini, Mercedes Maybach, Ferrari, BMW, Bentley, etc., play a crucial role. That is exactly why we are witnessing a rapid rise in demand. According to Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, Indian buyers are among the youngest globally, with many under the age of 40. At present, Lamborghini offers three products in India – Huracan, Urus and Revuelto.

In 2024, Lamborghini achieved record sales in India, delivering 113 units, marking a 10% increase from the previous year. The introduction of the Revuelto hybrid supercar has been particularly successful, with all units allocated to India sold out until 2026. This model represents Lamborghini’s entry into the plug-in hybrid segment and has garnered significant interest. Similarly, a waiting period of up to 20 months is the norm with Lamborghini cars at the moment.

To cater to the increasing customer base, Lamborghini is considering expanding its dealership network in India. That is necessary as it will be able to establish more touchpoints to make the brand name more popular. Currently, the company operates showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with plans to establish a fourth dealership, potentially in the southern region. Despite the fact that the luxury car segment in India is just 1% of the total market, the potential is clearly present. Lamborghini’s sold-out status in India until 2027 highlights the country’s expanding luxury car market and the increasing purchasing power of its young entrepreneurs.
