Specs

The Mahindra XEV 9e is now available with two battery pack options – 59 kWh and 79 kWh. It claims a range of 542 km and 656 km, on a single charge, respectively, as per MIDC. The compact ‘three-in-one powertrain’ (motor, inverter, transmission) results in total power and torque outputs of 286 hp and 380 Nm with the larger battery and 231 hp and 380 Nm with the smaller unit. This propels the large electric coupe SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 6.8 seconds. With a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. The users can enjoy a one-touch single pedal drive. It gets multiple drive modes along with a Boost Mode. Also, to lend it immense comfort, there is Frequency Dependent Damping and low rolling resistance tyres with NVH reduction.

On the other hand, the Mahindra BE 6 also uses the same two battery packs. However, the range figures are slightly different at 535 km and 682 km (550 km on WLTP), respectively. Again, the ‘three-in-one powertrain’ is good for the power and torque outputs from 228 hp / 380 Nm for the smaller battery to 281 hp / 380 Nm for the larger one. The charging capabilities are similar to the XEV 9e. There are three drive modes to choose from – Range, Everyday and Race. With the BE 6, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 6.7 seconds. Just like the XEV 9e, the details pertaining to suspension and one-pedal driving hold true for the BE 6 as well.
