Mahindra Bolero with Lexus V8 Engine
This video comes from Thisisgabru on YouTube. It captures the vlogger talking to the owner of the car shop. The latter is a prominent car modifier in Noida. He has done plenty of projects on various cars. On this occasion, he uses a 2005 Mahindra Bolero as a blank canvas on which he displays his creativity. He has swapped the original engine with a giant V8 from Lexus. This pairs with an automatic transmission. It takes the power and torque outputs to a whopping 300 hp and 375 Nm. Needless to say, the performance has been enhanced significantly.

The interior of this Bolero is, more or less, the same. However, there is some work done to ensure that they look neat and clean. But the credit is due to its owner who has kept the SUV in top shape despite being over 18 years old. That is a testament to the love he has for the car. Combined with a few efforts, the interior looks quite decent. Apart from this Bolero, there are other projects going on at this car modification house as well. They import spare parts from international markets depending on the requirements. In fact, they mention that there will be some crazy modifications on a Thar which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

What We Think
The aftermarket car modification trend is at an all-time high. This is particularly true in the last few years. However, we must warn our readers to understand that most car modifications are illegal in India. There are hefty fines on such customizations which change the car fundamentally. Hence, we would advise our readers to stay away from such mods if you wish to use your cars for daily commutes. But if you are willing to use it as a passion project, then you have nothing to worry about. Additionally, you could approach your nearby RTO to inquire about the valid customizations to the car. Accordingly, you could go for some mild mods, should you wish.
