Mahindra Bolero

Check out this old Mahindra Bolero pickup truck which proves its capability by crossing a strong waterfall flow in the hilly areas of Meghalaya.

Mahindra Bolero is one of the strongest and most reliable machines in India. Earlier, it was known as Maxx Pickup truck but a new generation upgrade was later rolled out, based on the Bolero itself. Here is one such example where the Maxx Pickup truck (The old Bolero Pik-up) tries passing through a heavy and strong stream flowing on the road by a waterfall. As you can see, there are three pickup trucks in a line, the second one being the new Mahindra Bolero Pik-Up. This incident happened in Meghalaya where the rainfall is much more higher. Due to a complete hilly terrain, you can find a lot of waterfalls in the way. This one seems to be from the monsoon season where the road has been damaged due to either excessive rainfall or the flow of the water.

The truck enters the water flow and soon starts losing the grip. However, it manages to make its way across the waterfall after a lot of effort. In one scene, you can actually see the front two wheels in the air for a couple of seconds. The cargo load might be higher and since there was a small slope in the way, the excessive weight might have caused the car to do a wheelie.

Mahindra Bolero now comes with a 1.5 Litre diesel engine that produces 75 BHP and 210 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It gets a Rear Wheel Drive configuration and so does its pickup version too. Prices of the SUV start off at Rs 7.64 Lakhs up to Rs 9.01 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). Bolero is still a popular car in tourist places, Tier-II and Tier-III cities and definitely a hit among enthusiasts.
