The 3-door iteration of the iconic Mahindra Thar is about to get even more appealing for a whole bunch of customers
The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift was recently spied testing and we have now received fresh visuals of the inside. Thar is a legendary product. It has been the most successful off-roading SUV in the country for years now. A few other cars have tried to challenge its dominance, but without any luck. Currently, the Indian carmaker also offers a more practical 5-door guise to access a wider range of potential consumers. For now, let us go through the kind of updates we will see on the Thar facelift.
Mahindra Thar Facelift Interior Detailed
This video stems from carindianews on Instagram. The visuals capture someone sitting in the driver’s seat of the new Thar facelift and showcasing everything. Firstly, it gets a new steering wheel, which elevates the premium feel. Apart from that, there are new door grab handles and the power window switches are now mounted on the door panels. However, the biggest attraction has to be the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display. It makes the Thar look modern and tech-savvy. Furthermore, the users will benefit quite a bit from the rear AC vents. Other new bits include the front armrest, rear charging port, rear wiper, etc.
On the outside, there won’t be all that many changes, as confirmed by the recent sightings. Still, we could get some minor updates to set it apart from the existing model. Additionally, it is very unlikely that we will see any changes to the powertrain options either. It will continue to come with petrol and diesel mills with manual and automatic transmissions. The higher variants will continue to get hardcore 4×4 capabilities to ensure that the drivers can traverse across all sorts of terrains.

Mahindra Thar continues to remain in demand in India. It is still the industry veteran when it comes to off-roading SUVs. Despite worthy competition from the likes of Maruti Jimny and Force Gurkha, the Thar has held its own. With a touch of modernization, more customers can be drawn to it.
