Mahindra Two Wheelers Sales Grew 15% in July 2011


Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the US $ 12.1 billion Mahindra Group, further consolidated its presence in the two wheeler segment in July 2011. The company’s sales for the month of July 2011 stood at 13,012 units. Total cumulative sales from April to July 2011 stood at 45,288 units, a growth of 15% over the same period last year when the sales stood at 39,291 units. This equates to a growth of 8% Year on Year for the month of July.


Mr. Anoop Mathur, President – Two Wheeler Sector and Member of the Group Executive Board quoted:

We are witnessing higher growth momentum on the back of increasing consumer preference for our scooter brands in many key markets across the country.

The cumulative sales for the company have crossed a landmark figure of two and a half lakh units, with both the Mahindra Rodeo and Duro scooter brands having a franchise of more than one lakh consumers across the country.
