We see unfortunate incidents on roads on a daily basis and this is one such case where three vehicles were involved.

In the latest incident, a Mahindra XUV700 was involved in a crash with a Maruti Grand Vitara and Ertiga. Driving carelessly, especially at junctions on roads is a common phenomenon that we witness almost every day. As a result, there are crashes that have terrible consequences. Mahindra XUV700 is a 5-star rated SUV at the GNCAP while the Grand Vitara has not been crash-tested yet. Let us take a look at what happened in this case.

Mahindra XUV700 and Maruti Grand Vitara Crash

The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents and road safety. This time around, a three-way crash has been reported at a junction somewhere in Haryana. As per the information in the video and CCTV footage, Mahindra XUV700, Maruti Grand Vitara and Ertiga were seen approaching a junction at high speed from 3 different directions.

It looks like all of them were at high speed and thought that they would escape before the other car crosses the junction. Unfortunately, this lapse in judgement led to a horrific collision between the three vehicles. After the collision, the Ertiga toppled over while the XUV700 was turned to one side. Similarly, the side of the Grand Vitara got damaged and the doors were seen getting deformed inward. Ertiga is also seen in a severe condition with dents all over the body.

Mahindra XUV700 had its front fascia affected including the bumper, grille, fender, bonnet and tyres. However, no one was injured in this crash which is surprising but great. Also, as the front sections in cars have crumple zones to reduce the intensity of any crash, the XUV’s damage is expected. Still, the side pillars remained upright and absorbed the damage. For some reason, the airbags in the XUV700 didn’t get deployed. We expect Mahindra to investigate the reason behind that.
